SAILING SEAGLE
SEAGLE IS A LAGOON 400 (S2) CATAMARAN BUILT IN 2017
She is 11.95m long and the beam is 7.25m. She has a draft of 1.21 meters and stands stable on two weighted keel. Her hull is made of 1 cm thick laminated plastic, vacuum-blown below the waterline, and a balsa core for the rest, except for all accessories. She weighs almost 11,000 kg empty. With an owner's cabin on the starboard side and two cabins on the port side, with a toilet and shower in the middle. She is the last model of Lagoon, with a forward mast and a manual jib.
She has two Yanmar engines (45 hp), which gives a cruising speed of about 4 knots with one engine. We can take 400 liters of diesel and 600 liters of water on board. The toilets are electric, with holding tanks, and we also have a small washing machine. We have also installed a water maker and have some petrol on board for our outboard motor, a 20hp Honda.
We have a variety of sails on board, we love our Parasailor (140 m2), but our biggest favourite is our gennaker (76 m2) which we can furl from the bowsprit. Our mainsail (56 m2) can be reefed four times to 13 m2 if needed.
