Canary Islands, Now
We arrived to the Canary Islands in November 2022.
First stop was the northernmost island, Lanzarote.
From there we continued our journey to Gran Canaria, Las Palmas, where we met up fellow sailors of the Viking Explorer rally. Our plan was to cross to the Caribbean together, but in the end we decided to stay and solve some important boat issues and explore the Canary Islands. During the winter months we sailed to Tenerife, La Palma and La Gomera.
We are currently in the marina of Santa Cruz, maintaining Seagle and preparing for the crossing.

CHEERS!
Mediterranean Sea, 2022
We got some good winds, so we arrived in Sicily in three days.
Our next destinations: Mallorca, Cabrera Island, Ibiza, Cartagena, Motril and finally Gibraltar.
We said final goodbye to Marina del Cavallino on the 3rd of June 2022 and now headed south towards Greece. We camped on the island of Erikoussa for a while to blow off some steam. After a fantastic month, we left the small island and sailed further south on the Mediterranean.
Croatia, 2021
This summer we sailed on the Adriatic.
Our first stop was a small town in Croatia called Novigrad.
We had a great time in different places like Unije, Losinj, Rab, Ilovik, Krk, enjoying the bright sunshine and the blue sea water.
Italy, 2020
According to locals, the weather in the the Adriatic has been particularly unpredictable and capricious this summer.
On our way back to the port of Cavallino, we suddenly got caught into a fierce storm with a headwind that could reach 35 knots. Our sails were damaged and a storm blew some object overboard. We certainly don't want to be in a similar situation in the future. Guess we need to be much more careful with our sail planning. Seagle has already covered 5,000 nautical miles.
Let's hope for many more!
Due to Covid 19 we had to abandon our plan to visit Corfu again.
We have planned to sail around Greece in September and October, avoiding the high season and hoping for a more pleasant climate. In the end, unfortunately, we didn't make it beyond Italy. We spent a longer time in Termoli, in the south.
Our usual waypoints on the way to our destination were Ancona, Porto San Giorgio and Pescara. From Termoli we took a ferry to the crystal clear waters of the Tremiti Islands, and we also spent a few days in Polignano a Mare.
Greece, 2019 - Corfu, Erikoussa
We sailed down the Adriatic Sea from Cavallino to Corfu. Max was able to join us for a month during his school break. Unfortunately, he had to travel home from Corfu at the end of August to start school in France. Now it was just the two of us sailing over to Erikoussa, a very beautiful little Greek island. Luckily, the tourist season was over, so we could fully enjoy the local hospitality. With EU funding, they built a nice little marina on the island. We were very happy to spend two weeks here, enjoying the peace, nature and Greek cuisine.
Marina de Cavallino in Italy has been Seagle's home port between 2017-2022 May.
We loved the summers here, the Italian cuisine and the peaceful environment.
The only thing we couldn't stand was the mosquitoes, they would eat us alive in the evenings.
The weather around Venice is quite exceptional.
It happens quite often that the water level rises so much that it floods the ports and the power lines sink into the water. Luckily, we were always securely moored.
How it started - Delivery Tour in 2017
The maiden voyage was from Lagoon Factory to Les Sables-d'Olonne and then to Sicily. Tobbe made the first trip aboard Seagle from France to Sicily with captain Ron Gertler.
Tünde and Max then joined Tobbe on board, and now it was just the three of them continuing their journey together to Venice, Italy.
